Miss Elinor

Eli is now 11 weeks old.  When awake, she shows off her dimples by smiling a lot, likes to have gurgling and coo-ing conversations and is starting to hold up her head pretty well.

Her evening fussiness has decreased, but she still wakes up very frequently and must be rocked/walked/shushed back to sleep.  She sleeps a lot, but she's probably being carried (mostly by me) for at least a third of the time she is asleep.

I go back to work in 2 weeks.  All the preparation we have been doing in getting her used to the bottle had started out well, but appears to be backfiring since about 3 weeks ago.  She had been happily chugging away at pumped milk in bottles two or three times a week since she was 4 weeks old.  Then, all of a sudden she started to get upset at the bottles.  She has been crying more and more and drinking less and less milk from her bottles.  We tried a different bottle and it seemed to improve things the first time she tried it, but we are back to crying and refusing the new bottle.  We'll try a faster flow nipple to see if she likes that better.

Miss Elinor is ready for her walk in the hills of Devonshire

Eli is not impressed by those bottles

Eli, you better get used to the bottle, your Mami is going back to work in two weeks. Acun and Apo will be there to help out!
