A belated Happy Mother's Day to all Moms! Eli decided to go on a growth spurt on Mother's Day and nursed every 2 hours for 24 hours, making it a very tiring day. MVP and fam came over for dinner and we dined al fresco on miso black cod.

Eli is definitely developing her own distinct personality. Unlike Oli, she is not a big fan of reading books. I've barely gotten her to sit through a couple of readings. Most of the time, she starts complaining after a couple of pages. Also unlike Oli, she is a lot more interested in social interactions than toys. She smiles a lot and likes to "talk" to people and watch people talk. I hesitate to chalk this up to the difference between boys and girls, maybe it's just the difference between our kids.

I go back to work next Thursday and unfortunately, Eli continues to reject the bottle (none of the bottle/nipple configurations have worked out). She HATES it. It's gotten to the point that she will cry at the sight of a bottle. Maybe she has figured out that she can make up for it at the next feeding with me, but that won't be the case when I'm at work all day. Eli, Eli, quite contrary. Why are my kids so stubborn?
