Week 39: The Wait Continues

Saw the OB yesterday.  She did an ultrasound and Moochie2 is about 3.6 Kg (almost 8 lbs)!!  But Moochie2's head is still a bit high and I'm only 2 cm dilated.  A little bit of progress on the labor front, but not much.

Pregnancy side-effects are in full bloom:

• Stretch marks are horrible this time around, probably because Moochie2 is so big.  I'm noticing new marks every day.  I probably weigh about 1 lb more now than I did at the same point with Moochie, but that extra pound is all baby, making the belly bigger.  It looks like it is about to explode.
• Swollen ankles and wrists are about the same as last time, but thankfully no carpal tunnel syndrome this time
• Skin tags growing like crazy, like last time
• Weirdest side-effect of all: I think my nose has gotten bigger!

Toto decided to go back to Colombia today because her family thinks her mother only has a few days to live.  We are all sad for her and her family.
