Adventures with Oli

We've been trying to be more adventurous with Oli lately since we keep going to the same places over and over.  We got a membership to the LA Zoo a week and a half ago and were actually out there all day, miraculously getting him to nap in the stroller after lunch.

Oli seemed to like the pictures of the animals outside the enclosures more than the animals themselves.  Maybe the animals were too far away.

The next day, we went to see the trains at Traveltown.  Oli loved riding on the mini train, but didn't quite get the concept of toy trains on toy tracks.

And last weekend, we finally got Jorge's belated Christmas gift, a baby carrier for hiking!

Oli loves piggyback rides, or "caballo" (horse), as he calls it, so he was ecstatic about this new transportation mode.  We went with the MVP and his entourage on a (very) short hike in Eaton Canyon. The boys loved picking up rocks in the stream and throwing them.  They were oblivious to the freezing water temperature.

Phew, all that being carried around sure makes one thirsty!

Oli's cousins are arriving in less than two weeks, so more adventures coming up!
