Now that my broken toe has finally healed, we've started hiking again. On Sunday, we hiked to Griffith Observatory.

When Jorge pointed out the observatory domes to Oli during the hike by telling him to look at the giant balls, Oli said, "No, son cupulas" (cupula is the Spanish word for dome).

While we were at the Observatory, we serendipitously noticed people lining up in front of the store and we found out that they were trying to purchase special filters for viewing that evening's partial annular solar eclipse. Since we were there already and near the front of the line, we got a couple of the filters and got to see this in the evening:
