We went to a baby shower for some friends yesterday, and I was unable to defend myself against three uninvited belly rubs! Each time, the hand came in from the side, while I was distracted, talking to someone. Two of the belly rubbers I had just met at the event and they went for my belly as soon as they found out I was preggo. The nerve.
All of the uninvited belly rubbers I've encountered have been women. I've never rubbed anyone else's pregnant belly. What are these people thinking? I'm not a buddha, rubbing my belly will not bring you luck.
I think I need some side impact airbags that deploy when a hand gets too close to my belly.

They were women, but that doesn't make it OK for them to touch my belly without asking me first.
once your belly starts to show, it becomes public property! hehe
I totally agree with you Suelika. And how about when someone asks if they can touch your stomach while their hand is already reaching out to you? Uhhh...how do you say no when their hand is already halfway to violating your personal space? I find it so obnoxious.
I wish I had a body bubble.
